Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is my great pleasure to invite you to Kraków for the 15th International Conference“Complex Treatment of Plasma Cell Dyscrasias in 2027,” taking place on 3–4 September 2027, with the main scientific programme on 4 September at the Jagiellonian University Medical College, 12 Św. Anny Street. As the principal organiser, I am proud to welcome you to the next chapter of a tradition that began in 2012. From our first gathering, the purpose has remained clear: to bring colleagues together across countries and disciplines, share knowledge openly, and translate scientific advances into better care for patients with plasma cell disorders. Over successive editions, our meetings have fostered lasting professional relationships and provided a forum for thoughtful discussion of a rapidly evolving field.

The 2027 conference will bring together a distinguished international faculty: Thierry Facon from Lille, Alessandro Gozzetti from Siena, Jens Hillengass and Michaela Hillengass from Buffalo, Michel Delforge from Leuven, Gabor Mikala from Budapest, and Laurent Garderet from Paris. Their complementary expertise will offer a valuable perspective on contemporary myeloma care, spanning therapeutic strategy, diagnostic imaging, transplantation, renal complications, physical activity, and quality of life.
Our scientific programme will address both the promise of new treatments and the complexity of using them in clinical practice. We will explore immunotherapy for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma, treatment selection and sequencing in relapsed and refractory disease,
emerging cereblon E3 ligase modulators, and the evolving role of autologous stem cell transplantation. Alongside these topics, we will consider how to interpret modern imaging recommendations, manage renal impairment, support physical activity, and recognise and
manage treatment-related toxicity. These discussions will be guided by a question that connects every aspect of our work: how can we make scientific progress meaningful for the individual patient? Better disease control, treatment safety, and the ability to preserve an active and fulfilling life all deserve a place in that conversation.

For me, the particular value of the Kraków meetings lies in the opportunity for direct exchange. A lecture can introduce new evidence; a conversation can help us understand how to apply it. I hope that the conference will provide ample opportunity to ask questions, examine difficult clinical decisions, and learn from experiences beyond our own institutions. I also hope that the connections made here will lead to further collaboration long after the meeting has ended. Kraków offers an exceptional setting for this exchange. The Jagiellonian University’s centuries-old academic heritage gives our gathering a special sense of continuity, while the city itself invites discovery. From Wawel Castle and the historic Old Town to the distinctive atmosphere of Kazimierz, Kraków brings together architecture, art, music, and a lively cultural life.

I warmly encourage you to take time to enjoy the city, whether this is your first visit or a welcome return.

I extend this invitation to haematologists, physicians from related specialties, researchers, nurses, and colleagues in training, as well as medical students with an interest in plasma cell disorders. The breadth of experience represented among our participants is one of the strengths of the conference and reflects the collaborative nature of comprehensive patient care.

Please explore the scientific programme and register through this website. It would be a privilege to welcome you to Kraków for two days of learning, discussion, and collegial exchange.

I look forward to seeing you in Kraków in September 2027.

With warm regards,
